MMWEC’s Solar Photovoltaic
Energy Program provides one-stop shopping for municipal utilities seeking to
capture the potential for solar energy within their communities. Through this
program, municipal utilities can purchase PV solar panels, electric current
inverters and project installation services under a single, turnkey agreement
with MMWEC. Using Massachusetts-based products and services, the program
features discounted pricing and is consistent with the Commonwealth’s
renewable energy goals. It’s as easy as: 1) Entering into an Agreement that enables MMWEC to
purchase PV panels, inverters and installation services and sell them to
municipal utilities. 2) Identifying potential projects within the
community, including locations, budget estimates and conceptual designs. 3) Meeting with a pre-qualified installer who
provides on-site assessment and develops a comprehensive proposal showing
installation requirements, design requirements and total project costs. 4) Deciding to
construct a project, with MMWEC purchasing and providing the installer with
the PV panels and inverters required to complete the project as described in
the installation agreement. |
