The Green Team

MMWEC's Green Team has helped Member utilities apply for more than $60 million in energy stimulus grant opportunities, leading to more than $20 million in awards.

MMWEC's Green Team is a single source solution for Members' renewable and energy efficiency needs, including assistance with acquiring federal energy stimulus funding.  The Green Team is committed to researching and creating effective renewable and energy efficiency programs for the benefit of our Members.

The team analyzes and manages stimulus-funding opportunities including outreach and communication of significant opportunities.  To date, the team has assisted our members apply for more than $60 million in renewable grant opportunities.  These efforts have led to more than $20 million in awards.

The Green Team also serves as a liaison between Members, the Massachusetts Department of Energy Resources and other state agencies in determining the opportunities for municipal utilities within a growing array of state energy initiatives.
