Under Development
This 9.6-kilowatt solar array at MMWEC's headquarters is similar to others of varying capacity being developed by Member utililties.
Several new resources are under development by MMWEC and its Members, including Stony Brook Unit 3, a new 280-megawatt, combined-cycle plant scheduled for operation in 2014 at the Stony Brook Energy Center site.
Other resources under development include:
- Berkshire Wind Power Project, a 10-turbine, 15-megawatt wind project in Western Massachusetts
- Single-turbine wind projects in municipal utility communities
- Solar PV projects in municipal utility communities
- Energy efficiency and demand response initiatives in various municipal utility communities
