MMWEC’s Members and Project Participants provide their customers with a range of renewable energy and energy efficiency resources. These includes small hydro and single-turbine wind facilities as well as multiple turbine wind projects in Princeton and Hull.

Wind Power

MMWEC and 16 of its Members formed the Berkshire Wind Power Cooperative Corporation, the owner and operator of the 12-turbine, 19.6-megawatt Berkshire Wind Power Project, which started operation in May 2011.

Solar PV

MMWEC and several of its Members operate solar photovoltaic projects, many of which were constructed through MMWEC’s single-source Solar PV Program for municipal utilities.

MMWEC Efficiency Services

Our NextZero energy efficiency and decarbonization program serves both residential and commercial and industrial customers of 21 municipal utilities. For residential customers, NextZero offers home energy audits, appliance rebates, and other incentives for implementation of audit recommendations for 21 different municipal utilities. 

NextZero serves commercial and industrial customers of 11 municipal utilities by developing and delivering energy efficiency services. NextZero offers flexible, comprehensive support to create a custom energy efficiency program. Services include energy auditing, project tracking, program management and measurement & verification.
